Since most of the materials we use in the Art room are considered "consumable supplies", all BVSD middle and high schools collect art fees.  This really helps us continue to have interesting, high-quality materials with which to work. 

• Seventh and eighth grade fees are $20.00 per class per semester

• Sixth grade art fees are $5.00 per 9 week session.

Casey's Vision:  Casey inspires students to be creative and critical thinkers.  Our students become engaged lifelong learners, who are compassionate and connected to our diverse, multilingual community and global society.

Community Connections

Casey artists have many opportunities to connect with the greater community.  Each year local artists share their expertise with students during in-class workshops and demonstrations.  Students also create public art, have work in a variety of art shows, and participate in art-in-action projects throughout the year.  Examples include:

• Tile murals at the Boulder Reservoir and many RTD bus shelters throughout town.

• Visual public service/flood safety messages on floodgates along the Boulder Creek Path.

• Participation in One Million Bones, an international genocide awareness public art project (see upper left photo).

• Ceramic tile pillars and mural and twice-yearly mixed media shows at the Boulder Public Library and other local venues (see lower left photo).

• Local food and farm-themed banners for Downtown Boulder.

• Our partnership with BoMA (Boulder Metalsmithing Association) lets us check out materials to bring metalsmithing into the classroom.
